Guidelines for editing a Toolkit Listing or adding a new Toolkit Listing

We want to keep these tables simple to understand at a glance, and easy to compare across toolkits. So we ask that you adhere to the basic style and presentation described below.

1. This Wiki is not a comprehensive listing of features, but rather a specific strategic list of view types and components that will enable someone to effectively narrow down their choices. Please stick to the exact tabular framework and list of components that are in the template. If you modify the table, it will no longer be possible to compare across UI toolkits or evaluate a toolkit using the battle-tested application design methodology.
2. Enter editing mode and use the HTML code and Wiki markup you see on the existing page or in the template below, to use as the basis for your modifications or new toolkit addition.
3. So that comparison is possible across toolkits, please don't add new components to the table. Add them in the Additional Notes section below the rest of the table.
4. To indicate native built-in support for a component ( i.e. not through custom coding or third party widgets or tools) use this Check Mark symbol X
The wiki code for this check mark is .
5. Note: To enable developers to verify native support for a component, you must provide a link to a working example of this type of component. Check marks X without links to working example components or demos, will be removed.
6. To indicate support for a component using a 3rd-Party plug-in, use this Plug-in symbol Plug-in
The wiki code for this Plug-in symbol is
Use the notes field to reference a specific Plug-in.
7. To indicate support for a component using a 3rd-Party Widget or Library, use this Widget symbol Widget
The wiki code for this Widget symbol is
Use the notes field to reference a specific Widget.
8. While it is tempting to show the flexibility of a toolkit through custom coding and indicate that it supports every component type, that would defeat the purpose of this wiki. Please adhere rigorously to the rules above to indicate the level of support. Use the Check Mark only if there is native support and you can provide a link to a working demo to back up this claim.
9. If you have a note or comment, keep it really brief in the notes section. You can add a drill-down or "details" link that provides more explanation by adding a "details" link in the notes field which hyperlinks to a new page with more complete details about your component implementation. See the template table below for "P8 Horizontal Accordion expandable Panels". Or you can add these longer explanations in the Additional Notes section at the bottom of each toolkit page.
